Physician – GastroenterologistLocation: Hudson Valley, NY Department: GastroenterologyClassification: Exempt, Full-TimeReports to: CEOPosition Overview:The Gastroenterologist is responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and liver.

This role focuses primarily on outpatient care, performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary disordersPerform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including:Upper endoscopy (EGD)ColonoscopyPolypectomyBiopsy and hemostasis proceduresManage chronic GI conditions such as IBS, IBD, GERD, liver disease, and colorectal cancer screeningInterpret diagnostic tests, including lab results, imaging, and pathology reportsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans based on current clinical guidelinesEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive careMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical educationQualifications:MD or DO from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited Internal Medicine residencyCompletion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowshipBoard Certified or Board Eligible in GastroenterologyActive and unrestricted New York State medical license (or eligibility)Current DEA registrationStrong commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based careExcellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systemsBenefits:Competitive base salary with productivity-based incentivesComprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan (401k) with employer contributionPaid time off (PTO) and paid holidaysMalpractice insurance with tail coverageContinuing Medical Education (CME) allowance and dedicated CME timeRelocation assistance (if applicable)Professional development and growth opportunitiesSupportive, collaborative work environment:
