Job Description Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required.

An established specialty retail pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for a temp-to-hire role based in Columbus, OH.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a complex patient population, requiring a compassionate, patient-centered approach and strong pharmaceutical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:Accurately prepare and dispense medications for patients taking multiple prescriptions dailyDeliver exceptional communication while assisting patients, many with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosisCollaborate with pharmacists to ensure safe and effective medication useUtilize pharmacy software to process prescriptions and maintain recordsProvide support with Medicare/Medicaid patient populations, focusing on those with low literacy levels Qualifications / Desired Experience:Proven experience as a retail or specialty pharmacy technician, preferably with a focus on chronic disease managementStrong knowledge of the top 200-400 drugs commonly dispensed in retail pharmaciesExcellent patient communication skills with patience and compassionExperience or willingness to learn Pioneer Rx pharmacy softwareResume must explicitly highlight experience working with patients managing chronic illnesses Schedule:Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMNo weekend shifts This position begins ASAP with an initial 13-week contract and potential for permanent placement if performance meets expectations.
