An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support operations within a Long-Term Care pharmacy Input Department.
This full-time position offers a 13-week contract to hire with flexible work arrangements including work from home (equipment provided), hybrid, or on-site if local and preferred.
Schedule:Monday through Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Location:Work from Home / On-site / Hybrid (Friendship, WI area) Responsibilities:Enter new orders and updates to patient profiles accurately and efficiently Identify controlled substance requests and handle as per policies Troubleshoot insurance rejections and coordinate with the billing department Triage and prioritize medication routes and orders as needed Communicate with facilities to obtain missing information or clarify dispensing issues Answer phone calls promptly (within the first three rings) in a professional manner Notify Pharmacist about undispensed medication orders and contact facilities under Pharmacist guidance Strictly adhere to the Absolute Check Policy, ensuring all required checks are completed Collaborate with Back Counter staff to relay order updates Provide timely and professional customer service Attend all required meetings and trainings Qualifications and Desired Experience:Strong working knowledge of Framework software (essential) High school diploma or equivalent Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) preferred Prior pharmacy technician experience in a long-term care setting preferred Excellent typing skills with high attention to accuracy and detail Strong clerical skills including filing and office equipment use Ability to organize and manage workload independently Quiet workspace and reliable high-speed internet connection This role offers an engaging work environment that supports professional growth within pharmacy operations.
