Kisner Law, LLC is a growing plaintiff-side personal injury and workers’ compensation law firm based in Hyattsville, Maryland.

We represent injured individuals with care, urgency, and a results-driven approach.

As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking an Associate Attorney who is looking to build a long-term career within a collaborative, client-focused firm.

This role is ideal for an attorney with 2–5 years of practice experience who is comfortable working directly with clients, managing cases with autonomy, and contributing meaningfully as part of a team.

ResponsibilitiesManage assigned matters from intake through resolution with appropriate autonomy and accountabilityConduct strong legal research and writing, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement-related documentsDevelop and execute case strategy using applicable statutes, regulations, case law, and procedural rulesMaintain responsibility for calendaring, scheduling, deadlines, and overall case progressionHandle litigation-related tasks, including discovery and depositionsCommunicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, and other partiesNegotiate settlements or demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and develop negotiation skillsProvide leadership, guidance, and support to paralegals and legal assistantsEnsure consistent client communication and high-quality client service Qualifications2–5 years of experience practicing lawLicensed and in good standing with the Maryland Bar (DC bar a plus)Prior experience in personal injury, workers’ compensation, family law, or another client-facing practice area with transferable skillsDemonstrated experience working collaboratively on a teamExperience managing deadlines, court calendars, and case workflowsLitigation and deposition experience preferredStrong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsStrong organizational, communication, and time-management skillsAbility to manage cases independently while remaining accountable to firm processesInterest in building a long-term role within a growing firm environmentBilingual English/Spanish a plus Compensation & BenefitsSalary commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonus structurePaid time offHealth insuranceDental Insurance401(k) Firm Culture & Values Kisner Law values professionalism, accountability, and collaboration.
