Express Employment Professionals-Farmingdale, NY is looking for a Boom Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of boom trucks and truck mounted forklifts (Moffett) in accordance with federal regulations and company safety standards. This role includes loading, unloading, transporting, and securing heavy construction materials and company equipment. The ideal candidate is safety focused, professional, and experienced in operating specialized machinery in fast-paced environments. FULL TIME

Required Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid CDL Class A or B

Eligible to operate vehicles over 26,001 lbs.

NYC Department of Buildings Licenses/Certifications:

Hoisting Machine Operator (HMO) License

40-hour HMO Training Certification

NCCCO Telescopic Boom Crane Operator Certification

SST 40-Hour Training (30-Hour OSHA + 10-Hour Safety)

OSHA compliant Truck-Mounted Forklift (Moffett) Certification

Active Training Connect Worker Wallet

Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating boom trucks, Moffetts, or similar equipment

Valid drivers license

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operate boom trucks and Moffett equipment safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Represent the company in a professional, knowledgeable, and courteous manner.

Load and unload materials requiring the use of boom/Moffett equipment, including planning and hoisting various heavy construction items.

Assist with manual loading and unloading of materials when needed.

Sort, stage, and verify materials for loading and unloading.

Read and interpret work orders to determine material needs and delivery instructions.

Record units handled, materials moved, and daily assignments on work tickets.

Attach slings, hooks, and lifting devices; guide loads to prevent swinging; ensure all loads are properly secured.

Carry and return necessary tools and supplies between storage, vehicles, and job sites.

Maintain a clean driving record and successfully pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Effective communication skills (English/Spanish preferred)

Ability to read and write pick lists

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to resolve issues and support conflict resolution when needed

Physical Demands

Ability to lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 lbs.

Ability to climb onto/off trucks, forklifts, ramps, and loading docks.

OSHA compliant Truck-Mounted Forklift (Moffett) Certification

Active Training Connect Worker Wallet

Clean driving record
