The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Sourcing Manager in managing supplier relationships, maintaining up-to-date raw material information, and ensuring all documentation and samples are properly collected and distributed. This role plays a key part in sourcing materials for both existing inventory and new R&D formulations, helping ensure quality and timely availability of raw materials.
What You'll Do
Supplier Information & Pricing
Maintain accurate and current product lists for each supplier
Gather updated pricing quotes to ensure accurate raw material cost information
Support the Sourcing Manager in qualifying secondary and alternate suppliers Document Collection & Management
Collect required documents for qualified raw materials in the company inventory system
Source and collect documents for new raw materials used in R&D formulation
Provide requested documentation to the Sales team in response to customer inquiries Raw Material Sourcing & Samples
Assist in sourcing samples for new raw materials from secondary/alternate suppliers
Submit raw material samples to R&D and Quality for validation testing
Source raw material samples for new customer projects in R&D formulations
Ensure the purchasing team receives all necessary information for new materials, including documentation templates Experience and Education
1-3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or R&D-related raw materials preferred
Experience collecting and managing technical documentation for products or materials is a plus What Makes You a Great Fit

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
