Essential Functions:

Teaches the appropriate grade-level/subject area curriculum as outlined by Three Forks Elementary School through a partnership with the Montana Educational Consortium. The successful candidate will need to provide 21st century educational pedagogy using effective lesson/unit plan development and strategies with clearly defined learning targets/objectives.

A detailed effective classroom management plan, safety procedures, and behavior expectations, experience with MTSS in the school setting is a plus.

The successful candidate will need to work creatively, cooperatively, and establish positive relationships with colleagues and guardians of students.

Participates in school and district professional development activities. Attends building and district meetings as required.

Supports Special Education students by implementing IEP and 504 plans.

Supporting teachers that effectively use 21st century educational technology in their classes to meet the common core standards are a benefit. Performs other duties as assigned by the building Principal, which may include, but are not limited to the following: teacher duties, school-wide projects and activities, and conduct parent teacher conferences.

Design instructional aids for stand-alone or instructor-led classroom or online use.

Assess effectiveness and efficiency of instruction according to ease of instructional technology use and student learning, knowledge transfer, and satisfaction.

Develop instructional materials, such as lesson plans, handouts, or examinations.

Develop measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction or training interventions.

Integrate educational technologies into teaching methods, based on sound instructional system designs.

Develop educational technology strategies within the district.

Qualifications:

Job Goal: To establish an effective rapport with staff, students, and parents while developing student skills that are fundamental at the specific level.

Bachelor's degree in Education; AND, State of Montana Educator license with appropriate library endorsement(s).

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The employee frequently will work irregular or extended hours while performing the duties of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally walk and stand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to be able to hear conversations in quiet environments.
