What You'll Do:
Desktop
Installs, maintains, configures, upgrades, &/or administers hardware & or software independently in Virtual Desktop & workstation support, network administration, server administration, business continuity, & information security, telecommunication & network connectivity, & / or SAN administration (i.e., Multiple technology domains) where technical work requires specific knowledge to evaluate, select, adapt, & modify standard procedures
Devises new approaches to problems encountered
Diagnoses, analyzes, & resolves issues for customer(s) across assigned multiple technology domains
Creates, organizes, files, & maintain documentation
Provides Tier II-III level customer support
Conducts performance tuning for hardware &/or software
Develops & maintains ad-hoc utilities or reports to automate processes
IT Hardware Inventory
Maintains IT hardware inventory for agency, requires thorough knowledge of inventory control, agency policies & procedures & state regulations on inventory control, salvage, & surplus disposal to maintain extensive agency-wide/statewide inventory such as IT hardware equipment for all devices & implement & enforce policies & procedures on inventory control.
Utilizes vendor supplied & third-party utilities for monitoring. Diagnoses, analyzes, & resolves issues for customer(s) in assigned single technology domain.
36 mos. combined work experience in multiple areas of assigned responsibility (e.g., infrastructure, database administration, software development, business process analysis) including 12 mos. combined work experience as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 12 combined work experience in multiple areas of assigned responsibility (e.g., infrastructure, database administration, software development, business process analysis) as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
