Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented part-time Accounting Clerk to join our team in Columbus, Ohio.

This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment and support a group of skilled professionals.

The role involves a variety of accounting tasks and administrative duties, making it ideal for someone who thrives on organization and accuracy.

Responsibilities: - Prepare and print checks for payment processing.

- Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely disbursement.

- Visit the bank to complete deposit slips and handle transactions.

- Assist with online banking tasks, including ACH transfers.

- Perform general administrative tasks as needed to support the team.

- Work extensively on the computer, managing data entry and financial records.

- Provide direct support to a team of bookkeepers, each handling their own client portfolios.

- Process a high volume of ACH transactions for clients with multiple properties.

- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in handling invoices and payments.

Requirements - Experience working with QuickBooks and other accounting software preferred.

- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and speed.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation.

- Ability to handle check runs and prepare detailed bank deposit slips.

- Prior experience in clerical and administrative duties within an accounting context.

- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
