Job Description

Join a dynamic team dedicated to supporting large wheel loaders and wheel tractor scrapers, with a primary focus on engine installation and cooling systems. This role is based in Decatur, IL, and requires close collaboration with on-site manufacturing teams to ensure machines are built correctly and operate reliably. The team emphasizes updating and modernizing existing machine technology, offering fast, hands-on problem-solving opportunities.

Responsibilities

Support existing products in production by collaborating with manufacturing teams on assembly issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve problems encountered on the shop floor.

Assist in resolving field issues reported by customers.

Contribute to new product development or technology updates, depending on skill set and experience.

Regularly interact with production and manufacturing teams on-site in Decatur, IL.

Essential Skills

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (will also consider candidates with 5+ years of mechanical design experience and no degree)

Design engineering experience.

Background in engine installation and/or cooling systems.

Strong mechanical aptitude, especially in manufacturing and assembly processes.

Experience troubleshooting real-world product or manufacturing issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience with engine installation design.

Familiarity with specific products, processes, or Creo.

Experience in supporting current product maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to contribute to API / new product or technology update work.

History of longer-term roles, demonstrating stability.

Work Environment

This position requires being on-site in Decatur, IL, where you will work closely with production and manufacturing teams. The role involves hands-on problem solving and collaboration with both local and international teams. The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
