Job Description

Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position is for a Paraprofessional role assisting in an elementary school setting, providing crucial support in a structured after-school program.

Location:

Vestavia Hills Elementary Cahaba Heights, 4401 Dolly Ridge Rd, Vestavia Hills, AL

Schedule:

After School Hours: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Onsite work only

Duration:

Contract position available immediately through May 21, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with learning activities and classroom management during after-school hours

Assist teachers in supervising and engaging students in educational and recreational activities

Help create a safe and positive environment for all students

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working as a Paraprofessional in school settings preferred

Credentialed Paraprofessionals are preferred, with the possibility to renew credentials for the next school year

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively with children and school staff
