Job Description

Maxwell Trucking and Excavating is looking for a skilled, safety-conscious Equipment

Operator to join our growing team. We are seeking a professional who takes pride in their

machine work and understands the technical nuances of site development and utility

installation.

Experience & Expertise

• Technical Proficiency: 5–7 years of experience operating heavy machinery

(Excavators, Dozers, Loaders, Backhoes, etc.) in a site development or utility setting

is preferred.

• Specialized Skills: Expertise in fine grading, trenching for utilities (sewer, water,

storm), and working around existing underground infrastructure.

• Precision: Ability to use and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and GPS/laser

leveling systems to ensure project accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment to

perform clearing, grading, and excavation tasks.

• Job Site Efficiency: Work in tandem with the Site Foreman to meet production goals

and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Licensing: Valid driver’s license

• Physical Ability: * Ability to climb on and off heavy equipment safely and frequently.

• Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed for site setup.

• Reliability: Arrive promptly for scheduled shifts and maintain a diligent, focused

work ethic.

Schedule & Availability

• Type: Full-time, In-person.

• Hours: Day shift, Monday through Friday.

• Flexibility: Overtime and occasional weekends are required to stay on schedule

during peak season.
