Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician with strong expertise in electrical systems, automation, and mechanical maintenance to support the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing equipment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing PLC-controlled and automated systems, while ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, automation (PLC), and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance solutions
Monitor and support PLC systems, including participation in programming, upgrades, and system modifications
Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and automation systems
Support and contribute to a Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) program to improve production efficiency and equipment performance
Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment history
Ensure proper inventory management of spare parts and maintain organized work and storage areas
Coordinate with and oversee third-party contractors and service providers as needed
Prioritize maintenance tasks in collaboration with operations and production leadership
Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, NEC, company policies) Qualifications & Requirements
Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–10 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens or similar) including troubleshooting and basic programming
Working knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, sensors, and automation equipment
Understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and machining (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts Preferred Skills
Experience with highly automated manufacturing equipment
Background in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environments
Experience supporting preventive and predictive maintenance programs
