Food and Beverage Server
Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager, General Manager,
Classification: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
Food Servers collaborate with cooks, chefs, supervisors, restaurant managers and other foodservice staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive reputation for the organization
Essential Functions:
Greeting and seating customers
Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system
Making menu item recommendations and suggestive selling techniques
Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality
Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals
Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen and in the dining area
Willing to work flexible work schedules that include nights and weekends
Cross-training opportunities to work in the Concession Stand at the pool may be available dependent on availability

Ability to working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in extreme temperatures and high-pressure environments
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift/pull up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 55 lbs. occasionally
Requires manual dexterity for equipment operation and the ability to perform repetitive motions, bending, climbing, and lifting
Must possess full range of vision, hearing, and communication abilities
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
POS System experience preferred
Knowledge of the proper etiquette and service standards.
Basic math skills.
High school diploma and prior experience working in customer service.
English language and professional communications skills are required.
Ability to take direction.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Excellent customer service, including patience and a friendly demeanor
Exceptional organization and time management
Great active listening skills
Ability and willingness to collaborate
Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures
Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details
Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
