Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and professional Overnight Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will transport a variety of Seafood from one our location to 3 different Seafood Markets in North Jersey, and the Bronx New York. You will plan the most efficient route, ensure adherence to delivery schedules, and perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate has experience driving trucks and ideally carrying fish and makes safety a number one priority. The job starts at 10pm and ends between 5am -6am. The position is 5 nights per week, but you can add a 6th night if you would like. Sunday night at 10pm- Thursday night at 10pm. The 6th night would be Friday- but you do not need to start work until 1am (Saturday morning.).

Responsibilities

Pick up materials and goods in one location and transport to another location.

Perform routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance

Adhere to delivery schedules and times

Maintain detailed driving logs

Receive and send product properly, by getting signatures and managing all paperwork efficiently.

Pack the truck and pallets in a safe and smart way, so they don't fall or get damaged in transit

Be able to pickup last minute items in the market, (a list and information will be provided nightly, if this is necessary.)Qualifications

Previous experience as a Truck Driver is preferred

This does NOT require a CDL.

Graduation certificate from trucking school is preferred

Familiarity with GPS systems, CB radios, and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technology

Understanding of all relevant truck driving laws and regulations

Clean driving record

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Willingness to work 5 or 6 nights per week and drive long distances
