Role Summary
Principal-level engineer responsible for leading the architecture and delivery of high-volume financial platforms on AWS. This role focuses on building scalable Java Spring Boot APIs, managing high-traffic Kafka streams, and ensuring EKS pod resiliency within a production cloud environment.
Core Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Deployment: Design and deploy production-grade AWS environments using Terraform and IaC best practices.
API & Backend Development: Architect and develop high-performance Java Spring Boot APIs tailored for high-volume transaction processing.
Data Streaming: Optimize Kafka architectures to handle massive data throughput and real-time messaging for brokerage systems. Understanding of SNS, SQS.
Container Orchestration: Manage AWS EKS clusters with a focus on advanced pod resiliency, auto-scaling, and high availability.
Technical Leadership: Act as a hands-on lead, performing AI-augmented peer reviews and mentoring senior engineering staff.
Domain Alignment: Apply BFSI and brokerage knowledge to manage security data concepts and ensure regulatory compliance.
Quality & Observability: Implement end-to-end testing using Cucumber, JEST, Junit, Mockito while maintaining system health via Datadog and Splunk.

Cloud & IaC: Expert AWS (EKS, Lambda, S3) and Terraform.
Backend: Advanced Java Spring Boot for RESTful API development and backend services. Proficiency in database and SQL.
Messaging: Deep expertise in Kafka, SNS, SQS for high-traffic, distributed environments.
Kubernetes: Mastery of EKS deployment and pod resiliency strategies.
Domain: Experience with BFSI/Brokerage data (CUSIPs, tickers, security data concepts).
