Scrum Master (contract)

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a contract position located in Las Colinas, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Scrum or Agile and contribute to large-scale planning related to Scrum Master deliverables

Review and analyze moderately complex Scrum Master challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Scrum Master deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Actively drive resolution of team impediments, cross team dependencies, and delivery risks by influencing Product Owners, technology partners, and leaders through clear, fact-based communication

Identify, assess, and escalate risks early within the sprint or planning horizon ensuring leadership has timely visibility into issues that may impact scope, schedule, quality, or compliance

Escalate with intent and clarity, providing actionable context, options, and recommendations

Demonstrate ownership and accountability for surfacing concerns, challenging assumptions, and advocating for the team when delivery is at risk

Maintain a strong leadership presence during ceremonies and stakeholder interactions, confidently navigating difficult conversations and reinforcing agile discipline and expectations

Operate as a trusted escalation partner, ensuring transparency into decision points, tradeoffs, and process overrides, while reinforcing enterprise agile and risk management standards

Facilitate the scrum process with cross-functional impact that involve moderately complex projects, non-projects, or maintenance work

Guide the scrum teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint

Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance

Deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes

Partner with discipline managers about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards

Facilitate the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the teams

Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team and remove impediments

Requirements:

4+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education

Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive outcomes and influence without authority

Experience with Risk & Dependency Management

Experience with Executive Escalation

Experience with Enterprise Agile Delivery

Delivery Accountability

Pay range: $51.09 - $59.09 per hour
