Job Purpose:
The Sheeter Operator at JOHNS BYRNE CO converts large rolls of material into properly cut sheets that support production needs of the Press Department. This role requires a strong attention to detail and organization to ensure efficient production processes and meet client specifications.
Sets up and operates the Sheeter to cut paperboard to correct size.
Retrieves correct paperboard stock from warehouse using forklift.
Sets machine with paper guides for the correct size of paper to be sheeted.
Runs test sheets; examines test sheets to detect defects and verifies conformance to work orders.
Observes operation of machine to detect and correct machine malfunctions.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, security procedures and instructions.
Performs all duties according to established safety policy, including wearing all required PPEs.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Required Education
Minimum of High School Education or Equivalent
Required Experience
3+ years work-related experience in a manufacturing environment. Sheeting and/or paper board experience preferred, but not required.
Experience working with Pasaban Sheeter equipment preferred.
Forklift experience, specifically Clamp Forklift

Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand and walk around the facility.
Regularly required to use force to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work performed in a shop environment where a noise level is moderate. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
Regularly exposed to dust, odors, and moderate noise
Occasionally exposed to hot and cold temperature
