Position Title: Medical Coder - Full Time (FT)

Department: Health Information Management

Reports to: Director, Health Information Management

What You'll Do

Review outpatient and/or inpatient records to ensure accuracy and completeness

Assign appropriate ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedure codes following current standards

Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to resolve coding questions

Enter coding data into encoder and hospital information systems accurately and efficiently

What We're Looking For

At least 1 year of relevant outpatient ICD-10 and CPT coding experience or recent graduates of a coding/billing program (we're willing to train the right candidate)

Knowledge of E/M levels, injection and infusions and outpatient surgery coding is a plus

CCA or CCS credentialed candidates are preferred, but not required

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to teamwork

High school diploma or equivalent required

Ability to work on-site for at least the first six months, with potential for occasional remote work thereafter depending on skill level
