CNC Machine Operator (Mazak)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mazak CNC Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor Mazak CNC machines to produce precision metal components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring parts meet quality standards, maintaining safe work practices, and supporting efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate Mazak CNC machines (including turning and/or milling centers)

Load and unload raw materials and finished parts

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions

Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and offsets

Monitor machine operations and make minor program or offset adjustments as needed

Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Perform routine machine maintenance and keep machines clean

Identify and report defects, machine issues, or safety concerns

Maintain accurate production and inspection records

Follow all safety and quality standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience operating Mazak CNC machines and knowledge of CNC programming (Mazatrol preferred)

Ability to read blueprints and GD&T symbols

Familiarity with precision measuring instruments

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Certificate or diploma in CNC machining or manufacturing technology

Experience with Mazatrol and G-code programming

Knowledge of metal cutting tools and machining processes

Min 5+ years of previous experience in a production or job-shop environment

Work Environment:

Manufacturing shop floor

Standing for extended periods

May require lifting materials up to 15lbs

Schedule:

Full-time Shift work may be required

Compensation:

Competitive pay based on experience ($25-$28/hr)
