This employee will be primarily responsible for delivering the New York State and/or National EMS Educational Standards within the lab setting in EMT and Paramedic courses on the Cobleskill campus and/or other affiliated campuses.
Employee Availability Requirements:
Each employee will be required to submit availability via Aladtec EMS Manager as follows:
A minimum of one (1) shift per month in either the Paramedic or EMT labs during the Fall and Spring semesters. This includes the partial months at the beginning and end of each semester.
When submitting availability, employees will have the option to indicate preference.
Submissions will be required on a semester-basis (Fall and Spring). Availability will be due two weeks prior to the first class of the semester.
In addition to the above-listed requirements, each employee should also be available for the following:
The EMT Challenge PSE for the Paramedic class, held on the first Thursday and final Thursday of the fall semester (daytimes).
The EMT Original PSEs, held at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters (evenings).
Employees will be notified two (2) months in advance whether they will be needed for testing.
Employees must provide advanced notice if a scheduling conflict arises.
Requirements:
Employees must meet the following criteria:
Excellent communication skills
Professional and ethical demeanor
Minimum of three (3) years actively providing care as a paramedic or one (1) year actively providing care as a paramedic and a CLI Internship through the SUNY Cobleskill Ag & Tech Paramedic Program
Current New York State Division of EMS Paramedic certification
Regularly-practicing paramedic provider
Current American Heart Association Provider certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (or equivalent)

The pay is $28.00 per hour.
This is a part-time, temporary, hourly position.
