Maintenance Manager career opportunity with our Food & Beverage client in Cherokee, IA.
The Maintenance Manager oversees plant maintenance operations to ensure equipment, facilities, and production processes operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead maintenance operations for plant equipment, grounds, and facilities.
Develop and modify plant processing layouts and oversee construction or expansion projects.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and all safety/regulatory requirements.
Manage capital and expense budget projects.
Supervise and support Engineering/Maintenance staff with necessary tools, training, and resources.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for maintenance and new project work.
Troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
Associates degree (or equivalent experience) in electrical/mechanical field.
5+ years of maintenance management experience in manufacturing (protein/breader-batter industry required).
Experience with ammonia and refrigeration systems.
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Familiarity with PLC systems and basic CAD capabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-starter with strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
