A school district in Dublin, OH is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve as an Intervention Specialist for the remainder of the semester. This contract position focuses on supporting K-1st grade students, with a caseload primarily consisting of students with Autism. The classroom environment includes support from two assigned paraprofessionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with Autism in K-1st grade.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to promote growth and development.
Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and other professionals to support student learning.
Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and communication with families.
Ensure compliance with state and district special education guidelines and policies.
Qualifications:
Active Ohio Intervention Specialist License required.
Experience working with young students, especially those with Autism.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to manage a classroom and individual caseload effectively.
