Our client’s Data Solutions team requires a Senior Data Engineer focused on Java Spring Batch ETL, AWS, and Snowflake to support critical compensation data initiatives. The role contributes to scalable data solutions and analytics capabilities, with visibility to executive leadership. W2 engagement only with a potential multi-year contract.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $65 to $72.50

Partner with technology stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions.

Design scalable technical solutions aligned to business needs and architecture roadmap.

Implement test-driven development and continuous integration and delivery in support of DevOps.

Prioritize work and deliver in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality.

Adapt to evolving technologies and identify technical debt with remediation recommendations.

Lead production rollout activities for operational and analytical databases.

Communicate effectively with extended teams and collaborate across squads.

Experience Requirements:

Experience Requirements

10+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.

Strong SQL for querying and data validation, including optimization and performance tuning.

Advanced SnowSQL and experience with Snowflake databases.

Proven experience with AWS services, including Batch and S3.

5+ years developing ETL applications using Java and Spring Batch.

Experience with job scheduling tools, with Control-M preferred.

Proven data analysis skills and strong data modeling experience in Dimensional or Data Vault models.

Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tooling such as Maven, Jenkins, Git/Stash, Ansible, and Docker.

Experience with Agile methodologies including Kanban and Scrum.

Ability to manage ambiguity and deliver in a fast-paced setting with strong interpersonal skills.

Nice to have: Python development experience.

Nice to have: Containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS Lambda development.

Nice to have: Snowflake expertise beyond core usage.

Nice to have: Financial domain experience.

Note: ETL experience must be in Java Spring Batch. Informatica-only ETL experience is not applicable for this role.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technology-related field such as Engineering or Computer Science.

AWS-related certifications are a plus.
