Overview
We are seeking a full-time CDL-A Driver to join our team and support the delivery of dumpsters and portable toilets across Western Michigan. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, punctual, and able to follow established procedures and daily schedules. Starting pay is $30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. This position offers a consistent 40–45 hours per week.
ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Communication
Provide excellent customer service to both commercial contractors and homeowners.
Communicate clearly and consistently through the company’s smartphone CRM app.
Coordinate with the Manager to fulfill urgent or same-day delivery requests.
Maintain accurate and signed invoices, bills of lading, and all required documentation; submit paperwork upon route completion.Transportation & Delivery Operations
Maneuver trucks and trailers safely into tight loading and unloading areas, including active construction sites.
Follow hand signals and direction from loading crews and yard personnel.
Safely deliver roll-off containers and portable restrooms to customer job sites.
Secure and tarp containers for transport.
Load and unload the vehicle safely and efficiently.
Empty containers at approved disposal sites.Portable Restroom Service
Clean and service portable toilets using the vacuum tank system on roll-off trucks.
Perform small equipment maintenance tasks as needed to keep units in serviceable condition.Safety, Compliance & Equipment Care
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
Perform routine service checks on the truck (oil, water, fuel, tires, air pressure) and report maintenance needs promptly.
Maintain accurate logs in accordance with state and DOT guidelines.
Support scheduled maintenance of all assigned equipment.Operational Support
Assist warehouse staff and the shop team when not on the road.
Support overall yard organization, equipment readiness, and operational efficiency.Requirements:
Required Skills & Abilities
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Excellent time-management and route-planning skills
Experience handling potentially hazardous materials and waste
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; able to communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and coworkers
Ability to stay focused, reliable, and safety-conscious in fast-paced environments
High attention to detail for load securement, documentation accuracy, and DOT compliance
Ability to navigate high-traffic roads, tight driveways, and low-clearance environments in all weather conditions
Experience
Valid CDL-A appropriate for the weight and class of vehicle operated
Valid CDL-A with a safe, verifiable driving record
Minimum of 3 years of CDL or dumpster-related driving experience
Successful completion of required background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations and company policy
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a tractor-trailer
Able to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs regularly; heavier items with assistance or equipment
Able to climb in and out of the cab, trailer, and trailer bed for inspections and load securement
