Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up automated welding and metal forming equipment and running production jobs while meeting and exceeding established production, setup, and quality standards. You will conduct quality inspections to ensure all parts meet blueprint specifications and quality tolerances, making them usable for subsequent operations. You will also perform necessary rework and minor repairs on non-conforming parts. Applicants should have a recent steady work history with experience in machine setups and running production jobs on PLC-controlled machinery, hydraulic and mechanical stamping presses, or automated welding systems. Prior experience in interpreting blueprints, reading tape measures, and computer knowledge is required. Experience in metal fabrication or resistance welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up automated welding and metal forming equipment.

Run production jobs while meeting and exceeding established standards.

Conduct quality inspections to verify parts meet blueprint specifications and quality tolerances.

Perform necessary rework and minor repairs on non-conforming parts.

Interpret blueprints and read tape measures.

Operate PLC-controlled machinery, hydraulic and mechanical stamping presses, or automated welding systems.

You will work in a company with 200 employees that manufactures racking and metal bins for major companies. The 270,000 square foot facility is fairly clean with lots of open space but is non-climate controlled, meaning it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Frankfort, KY.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.00/hr.
