Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in stabilizing production, improving process flow, and helping transition the facility toward more consistent and efficient manufacturing practices. This role requires someone with strong manufacturing fundamentals who can step into a fast-paced environment and contribute quickly.
Responsibilities
Develop and update manufacturing processes, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
Build and maintain accurate routings, BOMs, and part numbers within the ERP system.
Support the production floor with process improvements, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean/CI tools such as VSM, 5S, and more.
Participate in CapEx projects, including equipment assessment and implementation.
Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with Quality on corrective and preventive actions.
Recommend new manufacturing technologies and evaluate opportunities for production efficiency.
Occasionally interface with customers on technical/process topics as needed.
Use SolidWorks to design or update fixtures, small tooling, or process aids.
Help drive consistency across manufacturing processes and support ERP streamlining efforts.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
Strong experience in manufacturing process improvement and hands-on production support.
Experience with Lean tools, including continuous improvement, 5S, and value stream mapping.
Proficiency with SolidWorks for fixture or tooling design.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, assembly processes, and shop floor workflows.
Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable supporting CapEx initiatives and quality-related investigations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in root cause analysis.
Knowledge of process improvement techniques.Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Darien, WI.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $92000.00/yr.
