Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your fault-finding and technical expertise in a dynamic and innovative field. You’ll work alongside supportive and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring the service delivery, availability, and reliability of our fleets and infrastructure equipment. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Production Managers, Test Members, Fleet Control, and Engineering Teams), provide technical support to autonomous teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes.

You’ll specifically take care of troubleshooting and fault diagnosis, but also support training and planning activities to enhance team capabilities.

We’ll look to you for:

Providing technical support and fault-finding expertise to maintenance and warranty teams

Analyzing system event data to identify failure modes and compiling test/rectification reports

Supporting infrastructure maintenance and intervention at other sites when required

Collaborating with Fleet Control, Engineering, and Reliability Teams to identify and resolve technical issues

Assisting in pre-work planning for shifts and contributing to the development of accurate planning boards

Supporting knowledge transfer and training within autonomous teams

Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety and compliance

An Engineering qualification such as a Higher National Certificate (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Practical experience and sound knowledge of rolling stock and infrastructure equipment

Technical expertise in fault finding and implementing repairs

Competence in the use of diagnostic tools and software

Proficiency in the local language

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with IT tools, including office packages, email, and intranet

A logical, organized approach to problem-solving and a willingness to share suggestions for improvement

A demonstrated team player with a collaborative mindset
