Schatz Bearing Corporation (Poughkeepsie, NY) manufactures specialty ball bearings used in the aerospace, medical and aviation industries. We are a rapidly growing company seeking a full-time Assembler. The qualified candidate will be highly motivated, positive, energetic, and reliable.

This is an entry level position for someone who is eager to learn and grow with the company. We will train you to develop the standards that are necessary to be successful in this role.

Duties include the assembly of ball bearing components using fixtures, gauges, presses, grease guns, and hand tools, some lifting required.

Assemble, wash, lubricate, close, inspect and pack bearings.

Enter data into Epicor Vantage system.

Complete required paperwork (e.g. Assembly Order Forms, Scrap Tickets, etc.)

Use Lean Strategies of continuous improvement.

Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Possess basic math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc .

The assembly department is clean, well lit, heated and air conditioned. Routine maintenance and cleaning (sweeping, mopping, spray cleaning tables, etc) of your work and surrounding areas will be expected

Must have an eye for detail, work well with others, in a fast-paced production environment..

Data Entry/Computer experience is a plus

Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
