Mechanical Engineer

Our client, an innovative leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Advanced Hardware Engineering department supporting the development and deployment of cutting-edge autonomous vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - Sustaining Infotainment

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $73 per hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

Design and develop complex electromechanical assemblies for automotive infotainment and interior sensing systems.

Manage design validation and production validation activities to ensure system performance and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including suppliers, manufacturing, and quality assurance to meet project goals.

Support manufacturing ramp-up by maintaining BOMs, documenting processes, and ensuring quality standards.

Coordinate technical supplier management and oversee the integration of electromechanical components into vehicle platforms.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

5+ years of industry experience, preferably within the automotive sector.

Proficiency in 3D CAD design, with experience in Catia V5/V6 preferred.

Experience designing electronic modules and managing engineering requirements in an automotive context.

Knowledge of packaging, structural, thermal, and reliability challenges associated with electromechanical systems.
