Duties

Help

Exercise Foreign Assistance and Building Partner Capacity case management and operational control over the programs in the Security Assistance Branch, Built Infrastructure Division.

Monitor high visibility projects through the review of reports, programming documents, construction/procurement directives, funds authorization documents, and other program material.

Coordinate broad construction/procurement programs containing complex features at numerous locations under diverse conditions.

Develop and provide case management and operational control over assigned programs.

Meet with appropriate officials to resolve problems related to the management of design, funding, and execution of the Foreign Military Sales design and construction/procurement programs.

Apply an extensive knowledge of effective management principles and practices in conjunction with policies, regulations, and procedures on the programming, planning, design and construction of projects using the Foreign Military Sales mechanism. Requirements

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) applying acquisition, case development, and management principles on the planning, design and construction of projects/programs in accordance with Foreign Military Sales guidance; 2) performing financial management activities such as assessing costs, developing budget and/or allocating funds for design/construction programs; 3) resolving problems with respect to the management of the design, funding, and execution of the Foreign Military Sales design and construction programs; 4) providing guidance on the management of assigned design and construction programs; and 5) providing feedback to HQ Army/DoD on draft Foreign Military Sales guidance/policy/regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Teamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Education

Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Additional information

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

One year trial/probationary period may be required.

Direct deposit of pay is required.
