Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Stepdown position at an academic medical center in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience and current ACLS certification.

Details

Mixed-acuity Stepdown/PCU unit in a large academic medical center setting

Adult and geriatric patient population with general chronic medical conditions

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Floating within the health system organization is required

On-call responsibilities are required

Epic EMR used for documentation

Medication systems include Pyxis, Accudose, and Omnicell

SBAR communication framework utilized on the unit

In-house provider support available 24/7

Requirements

Active RN license in Ohio or a Compact license (currently in hand)

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required

Progressive care, Stepdown, or PCU experience preferred

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide progressive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with chronic medical conditions in a mixed-acuity environment

13-week contract

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

No break-in-assignment required when changing representation between assignments at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs, who require a 30-day break)
