We are seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Technician to support day-to-day facility operations and maintenance. This role is responsible for handling infrastructure repairs, covering everything from flooring to roofing. These tasks can include small electrical fixes or light installations, signage, removal of heavy dust, moving materials to the roof, dock door repairs, pipe repairs, and any other typical building maintenance. Our department uses equipment like sit-down forklifts, scissor lifts (45'), boom lifts, SkyTraks, and, of course, golf carts.
You will work closely with management while also assisting/leading task direction for other maintenance staff, helping ensure projects are completed accurately, safely, and on time.
What You’ll Do
Respond to maintenance and repair requests in a timely, professional manner
Assist with planning, coordinating, and scheduling facility projects
Perform preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance
Troubleshoot facility, equipment, electrical, plumbing, and infrastructure issues
Maintain departmental logs, service records, inventory, tools, and supply ordering
Conduct in-field repairs as needed
Help ensure technicians have proper tools, supplies, and safety direction
Promote a clean, safe, compliant working environment
Perform additional duties based on operational needs
Basic knowledge/experience in:
Construction
Electrical systems
HVAC
Plumbing
Pneumatics
Tool and equipment use
Skills & Competencies
Troubleshooting and core mechanical capabilities
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English
Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) understanding
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Email, Data Entry)
Strong communication, organization, and work ethic
Ability to apply sound judgement and integrity on the job
Ability to operate industrial equipment (lift trucks/pickers—training provided)
Requirements
2+ years industrial facility maintenance experience required
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate degree or trade school certification in a mechanical field preferred
Work Environment
Work is hands-on and active, must be able to perform essential physical functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Reports directly to Supervisor/Manager
