Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Banyan Living is a respected property management company specializing in upscale apartment communities in the greater Cleveland and Columbus metropolitan areas. We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and contribute to providing outstanding living experiences for our residents.

In this role, you will conduct routine inspections, perform preventative maintenance, and respond promptly to repair requests to maintain the safety and comfort of our residents’ homes.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repairs, and carpentry.

Conduct property inspections and preventively address maintenance issues.

Respond to and resolve resident service requests in a courteous and timely manner.

Prepare units for new move-ins by completing necessary repairs and cleaning.

Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Assist with grounds maintenance as necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.

Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical capability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform manual labor.

Flexibility to respond to emergency on-call situations when necessary.
