Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time maintenance person to join our team. This role is ideal for retirees or individuals with a strong background in maintenance across various areas. The canididate should have a good understanding of a gym, to ensure a safe environment for our members.

Responsibilities

Conduct general facility maintenance, including plumbing, electrical work and carpentry task as needed. Some small areas of gym equipment.

Inspect the premises regularly to identify areas requiring attention or repair.

Address maintenance request request from the Director of Operations.

Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies; some tools will be provided.

Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met in all areas of the gym including maintenance room and tool room.

Assist in setting up and taking down equipment for special events or classes.Qualifications

Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge of gym equipment and facilities is a plus.

Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Strong problem solving skills and ability to work with diverse range of individuals.

Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks and lift heavy objects as needed. .
