EPI Power is hiring an Electrical Procurement Manager (Senior Electrical Procurement Engineer). This Engineer is responsible for overseeing the purchasing of materials for the Cedar Rapids, IA project site.

This role orders materials and services, monitors delivery status, and facilitates communication between the project team and suppliers.

This role requires the ability to work 6 days per week, Monday - Saturday (58 hours per week). EPI Power, LLC ('EPI') is a licensed electrical contractor and subsidiary of The Weitz Company that specializes in data centers.

Review and prepare technical documentation, requests for quote (RFQ) packages, quote solicitations/evaluations and procurement of goods and services documents Initiate and manage purchase orders, evaluate project schedule, and align delivery of materials accordingly Collaborate with logistics team members to ensure timely arrival of materials Resolve payment and/or material discrepancies; Monitor supplier performance and ensure contract obligations are met; Assist with material inspection, factory testing, and coordination of meetings ~ Mentor team members on engineering responsibilities including specification review, project scope, procurement requirements, and negotiation methods 7+ years of experience in a procurement function in a construction related industry Understanding of material work planning and engineering methods in conjunction with purchasing requirements Excellent negotiation skills for negotiating cost and contract terms Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hire Comprehensive Benefits Package with Tax-Advantaged HSA and FSA offerings ~ Employer-Paid Short- and Long-Term Disability Programs ~ Employer-Paid Life Insurance ~ 401K Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match ~ Tuition Reimbursement ~ Corporate Wellness Program with Wellness Time Off and Rewards Please, no phone calls or emails.
