Job Title: Word Processing Associate

Location: Downtown Columbus, OH

Schedule: Monday – Friday 9 AM to 6 PM

Pay Rate: $23/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Word Processing Associate to join a prestigious law firm in downtown Columbus. This role is essential in supporting attorneys and legal administrative staff by delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality document processing services. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and brings advanced technical expertise in document formatting and editing.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide word processing and document support to attorneys and legal secretaries

Monitor and manage incoming work through a centralized request queue, prioritizing tasks based on urgency

Format, edit, and revise a variety of legal documents including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence

Ensure all work is completed accurately, professionally, and within established deadlines

Collaborate with team members to manage workflow and maintain consistent service levels

Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive legal and client information

Troubleshoot formatting and document issues as needed

Qualifications:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook required)

Strong knowledge of document formatting, styles, and templates in Microsoft Word

Experience with Adobe Acrobat for PDF editing, conversion, and document management

Prior legal word processing or document production experience strongly preferred

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under tight deadlines

Strong communication and teamwork skills
