E.P. Ferris & Associates is a well-established civil engineering and land surveying firm providing high-quality engineering and surveying services to public and private sector clients. Our survey team supports a wide range of projects including land development, right-of-way, and municipal infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager to join our established and growing survey team.
Position Overview
The Survey Project Manager will be responsible for managing and producing a variety of land surveying projects from proposal through completion. This role involves technical oversight, project coordination, quality control, client communication, and oversight of both field and office personnel.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as Project Manager for assigned surveying projects, including:
Boundary surveys
Topographic surveys
ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
Right-of-way plans
Subdivision Plats
Easements, legal descriptions, and exhibits
Prepare and manage project proposals, schedules, and budgets
Communicate directly with clients and coordinate with our engineering staff
Plan, assign, and direct work for field and office survey staff
Provide professional QA/QC review prior to project delivery
Mentor and develop survey staff on technical standards and quality expectations
Qualifications
Licensed Professional Surveyor (PS) in Ohio
Minimum 5+ years of land surveying experience
Strong knowledge of boundary, ALTA standards, and right-of-way surveying
Experience preparing and reviewing subdivision plats, legal descriptions, and survey exhibits
Proficiency with survey software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center)
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
