RB Hinkle Construction is currently seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic in Sterling, VA to keep our fleet and heavy equipment running strong. If you can diagnose issues, make repairs, and help lead shop operations - this role is for you.
Pay based on experience + overtime opportunities
What You'll Do:
Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on fleet and hydraulic systems
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Help prioritize and coordinate daily shop repairs
Inspect aerial equipment (booms, outriggers, safety components)
Order and track parts
Maintain service records and documentation
Communicate equipment status with supervisors and field crews
Follow all safety policies and procedures
What We're Looking For:
Experience with diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment repair
Experience with bucket trucks or digger derricks preferred
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Valid driver's license required
Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
