Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility.
Job Summary
This is a hands-on leadership role managing facilities operations across three locations in the Columbus area. The role requires travel between sites at Columbus, Groveport, and Gahanna. You will have autonomy to determine the schedule and manage a team structure that includes an Assistant Facilities Manager (AFM) and a Chief with a team of building engineers. The typical working day involves people management, vendor management, asset management, emergency protocols, and supporting the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage people and provide leadership to the Assistant Facilities Manager and Chief, who leads a team of building engineers
Oversee building operations across all three locations
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate hard and soft services
Manage facility assets across the three sites
Develop and manage emergency processes and protocols
Support the team of engineers and ensure operational excellence
Make sound decisions and take ownership of facility challenges
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of facilities management experience
Very technical with hands-on hard services experience in a facilities environment
Mechanical, Engineering, Plumbing, and Electrical (MEP) experience
Demonstrated understanding of how building operations function
Proven strong leadership capabilities
Sound decision-making skills with the ability to step up and take ownership
Facilities Management (FM) experience
