Cryptography Policy Officer

Your role * Define and maintain policies, practices, and controls related to cryptography at Euroclear * Synthesize guidance from various standards bodies into practical advice regarding cryptographic design and use * Advise and assist other teams with their cryptographic needs * Oversee key ceremonies to ensure compliance with documented procedures * (Optional) Participate in Watch Duty rotation to respond to production issues (approximately 1 day per week) Mandatory Technical Skills * Understanding of practical and theoretical aspects of PKI and cryptography (e.g., X.509, elliptic curve cryptography, post quantum cryptography) * Practical and theoretical understanding of common cryptographic protocols (CMS, SCEP, ACME, SAML, TLS, etc) * Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Powershell, and Java preferred) Nice to Haves * Familiarity with Azure products, especially key and secret management * Broad range of experience across the IT industry Soft Skills * Strong English language skill with both written and spoken communication (C1 or better) * Willingness to identify and communicate with stakeholders * Pragmatic approach to improving the state of practice * Comfortable working with a team and asking for and providing help when needed * Self-directed problem-solving attitude * Excitement to learn new skills as needed * Motivation to identify and resolve pain points * BS degree or equivalent experience #LI-NS1
