Grammer is looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our location in Delphos, OH. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment. This individual will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our team and Grammer as a whole!
What you will be doing:
Support of continuous improvement of all processes in all areas of the Grammer plant using methods of the Grammer Production System (GPS). Including creation of concepts and tools for modern learning systems (e.g. eLearning).
Participation in implementation of the GPS-standards according to the GPS Excellence Roadmap strategy.
Support the introduction and maintenance of GPS-standards and tools in the plant. Including management of the GPS related knowledge transfer and the concepts of knowledge multiplication ("Train the Trainer").
Support planning and implementation of the modification of the production according to the Lean-philosophy and introduction of the related instruments for example: Kaizen, Poke Yoke, Kanban, 5S, and more.
Support the permanent optimization of production according to Lean-philosophy based on the GPS Excellence Roadmaps. Including related documentation for standards and trainings.
Support of planning and implementation of Lean-trainings in the plant. Including setup and cooperation for training and reporting on the related activities.

What you will bring along:
Technical university degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics related Engineering, or a similar area of study
1-3 years’ experience in the production sector and/or factory engineering function
Leadership Skills, including leading of cross-functional teams within the scope of Kaizen activities
Proven experience in driving Kaizen events and initiatives in the manufacturing environment
Experience working with and gathering buy-in from team members in all functions and at all levels of an organization
Experience presenting data and information to senior leadership
Development opportunities for engineers and technicians from IE, logistic, and production sector, with additional qualifications in GPS/Lean.
