Inventory Specialist

Position Overview

The Inventory Specialist is a full-time onsite position at XingImaging’s research facility in New Haven, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring optimal stock levels, and supporting operational efficiency across the radiochemistry/production organization. This role involves working in a cGMP regulated environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support production, QC and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, label, and store materials according to safety and regulatory standards.

Maintain accurate inventory records in compliance with GMP, USP 823, and company SOPs.

Perform physical inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies promptly.

Ensure proper labeling and storage.

Monitor expiry and manage procurement of inventory.

Manage material receipt, quarantine, and release process in coordination with Quality Assurance.

Prepare and maintain inventory documentation and as necessary for presentation at audits and regulatory inspections.

Collaborate with procurement and production team to forecast material needs and avoid shortages.

Support laboratory staff with material requests and special orders

Maintain and update chemical inventory management systems with accurate, real-time data

Ensure data integrity and compliance throughout supply lifecycle.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, chemical handling, warehouse operations, or related operations.

Proven working knowledge and practical application of GMP and proper documentation practices.

Preferred but not required:

Experience in a sterile or controlled-environment facility

Unique Department Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

This position works in an environment with radiopharmaceuticals.

Please note that since this is position is onsite, in the case of epidemic or other health crisis, employee must be willing to take reasonable steps to ensure that bacterial and viral infections are not spread to others including but not limited to temperature checks, vaccinations, exclusion from the office building, and other precautions as required by the building’s landlord.
