Location: Columbus, OH - Hybrid

Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 + Bonus + Benefits + PTO

Bright Minds is searching for an experienced RCDD Designer to lead the design of telecommunications, A/V, and security systems for commercial buildings and customers in the Columbus, Ohio area. This position is with a well established company that supports professional growth, embraces new ideas, and provides a strong pathway toward leading the RCDD group in the Electrical department.

In this role, you’ll lead technology system design from conception through construction, including system calculations, equipment selection, layouts, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. The RCDD Designer also needs experience preparing and updating drawings in Revit and AutoCAD, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, performing construction observations, and maintaining quality control across assigned projects.

Requirements for the RCDD Designer:

BICSI RCDD certification (or eligibility to sit for the exam)

7 - 10+ years of experience in the AEC industry

Proven experience designing telecom, A/V, and security systems

Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines

Strong communication and coordination skills in cross-functional project environments
