Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Software Engineer to support a NAVSEA Naval Shipyard Support Office (NSSO) program in Portsmouth, VA. This role focuses on developing custom software applications, analytics tools, and supporting system integration across shipyard IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software applications

Perform coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting

Develop custom code, queries, and analytics tools

Support system integration across multiple IT systems

Build dashboards and data visualization applications

Support software deployment and release cycles

Contribute to digital transformation initiatives

Participate in technical reviews and program meetings

Qualifications & Requirements

U.S. Citizenship Required

️Active Secret Clearance Required

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

4–7 years of experience in software development

Experience with application development and system integration

Technical Skills:

Experience with programming languages and SQL

Familiarity with web development and data visualization tools

Experience with Agile methodologies preferred
