Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Technical Writer to support a NAVSEA Naval Shipyard Support Office (NSSO) program in Portsmouth, VA. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and standardizing technical documentation, process manuals, and agreements supporting shipyard maintenance operations and enterprise processes.

Key Responsibilities

Create and publish technical documentation and manuals

Develop and maintain AIM-NG process manuals and SOPs

Support configuration management for corporate documentation

Draft MOAs, MOUs, PBAs, and NAVSEA documentation

Coordinate internal and external document reviews

Prepare meeting minutes, reports, and briefing materials

Support metrics reporting and technical documentation efforts

Maintain business process maps and “As-Is” documentation

Qualifications & Requirements

U.S. Citizenship Required

️ Active Secret Clearance Required

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or related field

3+ years of experience with configuration management and documentation

Experience supporting technical or DoD programs preferred

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools

Experience with technical writing, SOP development, and document control

Familiarity with Navy or DoD documentation standards preferred
