Job Title: Industrial Electrician / Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Shift:1st Shift 5am-3:30pm M-F Flexibility to work Sat/Sun O.T
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician / Maintenance Mechanic with strong knowledge of electrical trade, including electronics and PLCs. Candidates must be proficient in PLC ladder logic, panel view programming, PID, VFD, encoder, and servo control for automated production lines. Key responsibilities include:
Installing electrical components and troubleshooting issues on production and support machinery
Communicating effectively with supervisors and collaborating with maintenance and construction teams
Conducting preventive maintenance checks, maintaining accurate PM forms, and completing assigned tasks timely with detailed job sheets
Requesting necessary parts for repairs and gaining working knowledge of pultrusion and winding machine operations
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
Additional Functions:
May work up to four hours of overtime or on Saturdays as needed
Available for on-call duty during emergency situations
Assist in training and guiding other Maintenance Mechanics
Requirements:
Safety:
Wear helmet, safety goggles, and steel-toed shoes at all times
Use ear plugs, back brace, and gloves when required
Understand safety procedures for all machines, tools, and chemicals
Attend all safety training, including monthly meetings
Immediately report safety issues to the supervisor
Possess full knowledge of safety lockout procedures
Report accidents or injuries to management within 24 hours
Adhere to all safety requirements and training
Follow lockout procedures for machinery cleaning or repairs
Must Have:
Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting electrical components, including PLCs
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Knowledge of tools (e.g., grinders, ratchets, drills) for machinery maintenance
Skills in conducting preventive maintenance and completing accurate PM forms
Ability to drive a forklift with certification within 90 days
Capability to communicate effectively and collaborate with teams
Proficiency in requesting parts and managing repair tasks
Working knowledge of pultrusion and winding machine operations
Expertise in PLC ladder logic, panelview programming, and related automation controls
Ability to train and guide other maintenance personnel
