Job Summary:
AJC Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Logistics Intern to join our team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This internship provides hands-on exposure to logistics, ocean freight operations, and customer account management within our Eagle Logistics Systems division.
The intern will support day-to-day operations while learning core logistics processes, including booking coordination, and customer communication. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gain real-world supply chain experience, and contribute to live customer accounts.
Responsibilities
Support customer service efforts by assisting with communication and relationship management for assigned accounts
Help manage customer inquiries and ensure timely follow-up
Assist in creating and maintaining shipment files (bookings, container specifications, sail dates, pre-billing etc.)
Coordinate booking requests with steamship lines under supervision
Support appointment scheduling and reporting
Assist in shipment updates to customers
Help monitor and report discrepancies (damage, shortages, overages)
Support documentation processes, including bills of lading
Track sailing schedules and assist with system updates and customer notifications
Participate in service issue investigations and support resolution efforts

Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
Prior internship or coursework in logistics, transportation, or operations is a plus, but not required
Language Requirements
Candidates are required to read, write, and speak English & Spanish fluently.
