Position Description:
Adjusts and runs the printing press.
Essential Functions:
Assists Press Operator in the operation of the printing press
Performs set up for feed system
Assists 2nd Press Operator in changing plates and blankets
Ensures all press supplies are available
Assists with make readies
Assists in washing plates, blankets, rollers and ink fountains
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment
Performs general cleaning tasks
Follows all Company policies and procedures
Attends and participates in ongoing training
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
Grade 12 or acceptable experience
On-the-job training required and/or related experience
Skills and Physical Requirement:
Must be familiar and able to adhere to Company safety policies and relevant legislation
Able to work in a team, adapt and take initiative
Autonomous
Good communication skills
Capable of heavy lifting
