Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

Be the Technical expert to translate business ideas into technical solutions

Design, develop and implement technology solutions for business problems

Effectively find the root cause of the problem during production issues and offer efficient solutions

Suggest improvements to supported applications and systems as needed including technical and architectural trade-offs

Demonstrate thorough understanding of software delivery life cycle especially CI/CD and QE

Be passionate about driving teams towards high performance and a deep pride in quality craftsmanship that delights users

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

5+ years of experience in software development and supporting complex large-scale customer facing platforms

5+ years of experience as a Java developer with a preference for Java 8/Spring, web-based information technology principles, and system integration methodologies and standards.

5+ years of experience in building public and internal REST APIs

Strong experience with APM tools, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, etc. – 2 recent projects

Strong experience using Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Launch Darkly, etc. – 2 recent projects

Experience with understanding and using AI tools relevant to APIs

Familiarity with OpenID, OAUTH, TCP, SSH, SSL protocols

Experience with cloud and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes & GCP) as we aim to build self-serve products on a cloud platform

Sound DBMS knowledge and understanding of network topologies and common network protocols and services

Nice-To-Have Skills: FI banking experience is preferred but not required

Nice-To-Have Skills: Well-rounded knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environments

Nice-To-Have Skills: Knowledge of a variety of frameworks (server side, browser side, desktop etc.) as well as high aptitude for diving in and picking up new things

Soft Skills Required: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are essential

Soft Skills Required: Excellent communication skills including ability to distil technical details into simple terms; ability to influence decision making across stakeholders

Soft Skills Required: Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex initiatives

Soft Skills Required: Natural Problem Solver

Soft Skills Required: The role requires leadership skills, hands-on technical experience, and a can-do approach towards environment automation / management and continuous improvement for efficiency and cost effectiveness

Soft Skills Required: Must be reliable, proactive, results-oriented, customer-focused and attentive to details.

Soft Skills Required: Strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Education: Bachelors or equivalent in computer science or related field is preferred
